Hi all,

I have just finished installing a new Members List program to replace the poor version we had running before. You can now search for a member of view the lists of members by state.

The new program will also show a listing of members curently online and even what in ExplorOz they are curently viewing.

This is a vast improvement on the page we had before.

One little item to note: the count of gallery images will update once your gallery has been opened the next time. I have added a counter function but it only triggers when your gallery is opened. So if your member entry shows no pics then open your rig profile and this will auto update the report.

Any problems or feedback, please let me know.

Looks Good David
A question , what order is the list in , doesn't appear to be alphabetic or by log on time.

Robin,

The state list at the top is column sorted by number of users so it reads down then across by number of members in the state.

The Current list is based on logon time and shows the most recent at the top.

The Members list is sorted on Screenname.

Hope this helps.

Thank God it is only in ExplorOz! I would hate to have 'PORN' come up next to my name for all to see.

Matt.

David,

There are 4 sets of numbers after my name, what do they mean?

Wayne,

Thats your IP address issued by your Internet Service Provider. Its how the webservers find you - It's like a virtual postal address.

David,

Might be wise to remove the IP addresses from the list as a matter of security.

Wayne,

John is right it is the current address of your computer on the internet.

Security issue, I do not think this is a real issue. I can of course remove it (I use it to know where people are coming from). As for security problem I cannot see how it is a standard http header that the browser sends to every server you visit. I do not use it for any security objects it is just simply a read only field. It makes no difference to ExplorOz if someone spoofs the IP and trys to gain access as the logon and security is session and cookie based thus relies on the browser end points and not the transport. Any more feedback on this welcome - I can be convinced to remove it.

John and David,

Thanks for that.

David, you lost me on the second paragraph, but I will take your word for it.

David,

I was thinking more along the line of someone attacking a members computer.

Yeah I thought of this but belived the issue was so minor that it should not rate however you raised it and it can be done so I do not mind - I will hide it from the usual view and show it on my view of the system. As I mentioned it is no stress to me one way or the other. So consider it done. Give me 10 mins and it will be so...

Done in the Members List and List Users. Thanks for the feedback - for the record 5 mins.... Wish the rest of my task list was so quick.
