Hi all,
I have just purchased a new single DIN stereo to replace my double DIN stereo in my 80 series. Does anyone know where I can buy a new DIN surround to cover the hole that will be left after the replacment?
PS....I hope my terminology is correct.
Cheers

JB HiFi sell single DIN blanks which can also be bought in a cavity style allowing the space to be used for coins and stuff.

He used to fibreglass VB cartons onto his gaurds to hide the rust!

Put a stereo in my son's Corolla the other week and we used the DIN-sized CD pocket that came out of my 79series - fitted in perfectly - had the standrad Toyota screw holes. Maybe you can pick one up at a wreckers/HiFi place/ even a dealer?

I put my UHF CB in the spare hole. GME sell the mounting brackets. Looks neat.

Check ebay. A couple of weeks ago there was a din sized replacement that was a retractable cup holder (double). I was kicking around the idea of updating the stereo and adding one of these to mine.
