2.2lt hilux diesle front drive shaft fit hj47 1984?

Hi all
Mate has a brand new front drive shaft sitting in shed for a 2.2lt diesle hilux (he says) and he doesnt have the vehical any more, it looks very similar to the front shaft on my 2H motor hj47 (which isnt here to
check at present) does any know if they are interchangeble or am i dreaming?

Sorry i couldnt give you better news, they are way smaller in diameter, and the bolt hole orientation is also different.
