Kev & Darkie
I want to finally install the Barrett 225 RC
HF Radio that Footloose kindly gave me late last year (see thread 50389)
I need to get an antenna for it similar to the EX04 from
Lake Macquarie Communications
Where in Central Queensland can I get one from or am I better off getting one freighted from else where (suggestions please).
I want to get it up and running before the Innaminka trip so I can
test it out :)) just don't tell Kiwi that I'm installing it ;)
Cheers Kev

By the way- you'll also need a ' heavy duty' base & spring, and of course the coax cable...
I just checked eBay- he doesn't have a listing there, but you can contact him thru other eBay items and ask..
I do have a couple of spares here..what frequenies do you intend to use??

It has the 737 networks 11612, 8022, 5455 and the RFDS common night frequency of 2020khz.
I had thought about getting one from Terlin as
well, just seeing what else is available ATM.
The HD spring base and coax cable is included in the list to get as
well as the power adaptor plug for the unit.
Cheers Kev

Kev,
It should have had a power plug, unless Footy still has it.
It certainly left here with one. If not, the plug off a 7727 will fit.

Stu,
You just had me worried that my memory was playing tricks on me, but no I just checked and it hasn't got one. Just the remote head c/w mic, main unit and mounting bracket. It is not a big issue I'll get one from somewhere :))
Cheers Kev

Kev try airport radio & gps at Archerfield Airprot. All they do is radios & gps units they are abit nerdy but you are not trying to get advice from some kid that is up to speed on flash car stereos and mobile phones.
Good Luck

I've got an old one here. Wire length 1340. Taps 2020, 3848, 5058, 5140, 5430, 5440, 6950, 7840
Not base, tap wire or spring though. Not sure if it may be of any use to you. Ask Footy.
Cheers

I take the day off and what happens ? Ebray pull my ad 'cause they think I'm making oodles of dough out of it and now payintg them enough (put a phone number in it), and HF questions galore on EO. Geeez :))
Kev, first of all Willems aerial will only work on the frequencies on his taps. Mostly RFDS by the looks, as others said.
Give this bloke a ring
Dave Collins
Tell him I sent you and he'll look after you. He's also a nice bloke:)

Make sure that you tell Dave what frequencies are in the radio, as he may be able to make one up to suit.
