Hi All,

I've been pondering over some maps for a day trip over the weekend. My wife had suggested Kangaroo Valley and mentioned she had seen some fire trails around Fitzroy Fall and wondered whether we could have a look at them.

I'm considering the following trip:
Moss Vale
Right into Meryla Rd
Left onto Patons Fire trail (return)
Continue along Meryla Rd
Left onto Sandy Creek Fire trail (return)
Retrace along Meryla Rd
Turn right into Link Fire trail
Left onto Meryla fire trail
Right onto Link Fire trail
Right onto Redhills Rd
Right onto Redhills Fire trail
Fitzroy Falls
Nowra Rd

McPhails Fire trail
Left onto Jacks Corner Rd
Bendeela Rd
Kangaroo Valley

Does anyone have any info on these eg condition/gates, good spots to stop for photo opportunities, morning tea etc? We'll be taking a pathfinder.

Many thanks in advance.

Michael

G'day Michael, about the only help I could be on this one is that Mc Phails FT is of the width of a mountain bike only!! We used to do that trail down to just west of Bendeela pondage, by mountain bike then onto Jacks Corner rd and ride back to where we left the cars. Brilliant downhill fast trail, but only wide enough for a bike!!cheers Unc

Thanks Uncle,

Had a feeling that may have been the case, so we may just wander around the top end of Meryla.

Even if I breathe in, I doubt if I could squeeze down there!

Cheers,

Michael
