Afternoon all,

I trust you are enjoying the break for Easter? My job being what it is I am usually working during this weekend however for the 5th time in 30 years I am having a whole week off - wooooohooooo.

I have asked my local farmers co-op to get me 8 of the biggest horseshoes they can - size 8 I think. I shall be bringing them and a couple of pieces of reo rod and then we can play "horseshoes". C'mon you must have all watched MASH and seen Cnl Potter tossing the shoes for relaxation - yes course you have!!.

We can have State of Origin, East v West, North v South, Kiwi v Kev (hehehe) Roachie v Lucy etc etc. I'll bring the rules along too but they are sooooo pedantic (the yanks that is) that we will not comply with the National Horseshoe Tossing rules me thinks. Make the EO rules up as we go haha.

How many days to go now Kev?

Something else to think about anyway

Cheers

And be safe out there

111 days to go but I'll be there in 110 just to make sure LOL

It won't be a contest against Kiwi I have got her number (8 rums) ha ha ha

Bring it on, I haven't done Horseshoe tossing in years. I think the kids will love it.

Cheers Kev

Don't forget golf - nearest the pin - or chip and putt. Nick, make sure you take a golf stick of some sort to the Simpson so that when you get to Poepples you can hit the ball into three states. And Nick, take coloured golf balls (it's easier).
Fishing competition?

Fishing comp would be good for the kids, as well as a biggest yabbie comp (the prize is you get to eat it). I have the yabbie traps pack already LOL

Only 108 days to go

Hi John,

I did not know you where heading out there, it will be good to catch up with you again.

There has been that many QLD Flags stolen from previous gatherings, maybe we could play "spot the pretend QLD'r or QLD wannabe?" displaying my state colours?

I love the horseshoe idea. I will be bringing a tractor tube to swim up and down the Cooper in, if there was a few tubes, we could have races???

See you with my "Genuine" QLD flag flying very high again LOL!!!
Regards Trevor.
