Hi Andrew,
Yes I have a good friend Peter Van rosi, who is into diagnostics and has a Land Cruiser 100 himself but I think his may be petrol, not sure.
He is a very straight and honest hard worker.
Used to live int Augusta WA and is now in Ellensbrook, a suburb of Perth.
I just phoned him re your question and he said for you to contact him and he will see if it is something he can help you with or stear you onto a spcialist if that is what is required.
He really is excelent though.

Do remember that it is Easter though so you may not get a reply until after the Easter break.
Good luck with whatever the problem is.
Do not hesitate to name drop. "The Wattos" Bev. I did tell hime your name was Andrew but that is all I knew, so he may put 2 & 2 together anyhow.
Cheers
The Wattos.

Wattos,

Does this firend of yours have a workshop up that way, as I too am in Ellenbrok and are in the process of trying to locate a fair, honest mechanic in that region

My apologies for the hijack

I do not mind if anyone "hijacks" something I have been assisting with and I dubt if many people would mind for something like this. We should all be helping one another I would have thought. Well that is how I see it anyhow.
Hey, if anyone else is interested, go for it.
Pete (Peter Van rosi) is a lovely person and I have always found him very genuine, as is his lovely wife and two kids. I met them when Pete went to Augusta and needed a place for his family to live and close to where he was going to work as a mechanic. We had a house over the road that we let to them and have become not only great friends but Godmother to their sweet little son.
He sells diagnostic machines (or whatever they are called, tools etc....) for Coda and he is a mechanic and loves modern cars in preference to say the old Holden HR for eg.
You can contact him on his email address he said.
peterv@coda.com
That is his work email but I hesitate to give out his address or phone number on the net, so it would be best if you just make contac this way as he is not a member of EO.
He was impressed when I phoned him again to clear ith him to give the email address and the ok for another person to contact him.
He is interested in getting more work in the mechanic line again now that he has finished doing additions to his house.

Tell him what you require and he will either be able to do it and make arrangements with you or point you in the right direction.
He does the work at his home and may well be doing a lot more in the near future, but you can talk to him about that.
By the way his wife is a great lady and a great book keeper but I do not know if she requires any more work so if you have a business and need assistance with BAS book keeping etc, have a chat to her, she used to do it for me before they moved.
Remember we are all here to help one another so if you know of anyone else that needs some mechanical work done don't hesitate to contact Pete and see if he can do it for you/them.
He mostly does it after hours and on week ends at the moment but can work his days around it if it has to be done during the week in business hours.
He will do his very best to accommodate you where he can I am sure.
Shame we are on the road for 50 weeks of the year because we don't get to use him any more, but then you have to do a trade off don't you if you want to be on the road for most of the year, right?
Cheers,
The Wattos.

Thanks for that,

I will whip him off an email post easter, as I have a couple of jobs that need to be sorted in the coming month(s), time is not really of the essence, so weekends and after hours sounds ideal

I understand the no phone number policy, I would hate to be getting 101 nuisance calls.

Take care on your travels

You are so very welcome.
We are all here to help one another.
Whoops, just noticed I put "stear" instead of "steer", in the above post, sorry!
Just get that problem sorted and get your vehicle dirty again.
No good in the garage or on the bitumen.
Maybe that is the problem, it is yearning for some grot.
The Wattos.

Will second that.

Always found Robson Bros very good. Their advice has always been pretty spot on and they tell it how it is, not how to make more money for themselves.

Very professional setup as well.

x 2. Speak to Murray.

I do all my own servicing but when it requires specialised tools TLC (Toyota Land Cruiser) are the only folks I let near my Cruiser.

They are authorised ARB agents too which can be handy.

Their workshop is surgically clean, you could eat off the floor - literally.
