Hi Everyone,

Bought a 80 series LC back in october, the rear of it had been lifted (heavy duty springs) just before I bought it to somewhere between 3 to 4 inches I'm guessing - using standard LC shocks which are of course now stuffed!

Looking for some budget shocks that can handle the extra lift - don't think most standard LC shocks with their "handles up to 2in lift" is going to cut the mustard.

Cant seem to find much info on the web - anyone got any info on these? Part numbers would be a bonus too ...

Thanks in advance!
Dave.

I can't help you with the Cheap sh1t.

But quality shocks are EFS or Rancho, I wouldn't use any thing else.

Cheers Steve.

we had King Springs and Ultimate Big Bore Shocks in our 80 series...2'' lift in front and 3'' rear.....they were $750 fitted.....they are cheapish and the suspension guy in town wouldnt have recommended them but after he saw what ours went through (desert trip 10000km) + typical weekend 4wding....that he would change his mind about them.....

Hope this helps

Gday,
I fitted EFS to mine and have had no troubles with them. I wouldnt go for anything really cheap, let alone look for them.

Cheers

I have been using EFS in my workshop for a year now and had no dramas. They are reasonably economical as well. Thats what is going in my 80.
