Does anyone know what the weather's like around the
Alice Springs,Ayers
Rock and further south during December/January. Planning a wife thawing trip and want to know if it's tolerable for non icebergs.
TIA Andrew

Hot & dry. Sh1t that rhymes with fly. Plenty of them.

I lived in
Tibooburra for 3 years and the temp would be similiar - some days are bearable while after are stay inside or stay in the car with the aircon on full - cannot walk anywhere on the hot days without a hot because your brain boils - hot as hell. Alright at night it is coller and there are no flies. It gets so hot that I left the clothes in the washing machine for the day and they came out dry !!! Going to the centre I would say is not advisable - Oct Ok and so is end of March.Cheers, Beddo

but then in 2000 drove we up to
the Rock off-road for the millenium what'sit and then around the area for a couple of weeks- hotm but not bad at all- but I reckon that was the one year in 30- so I wouldn't chance it again thinking I'd get the same weather we got on that magic trip- I reckon the other half would be cranky as hell Cheers TonyT
