Double Battery Charge?

Hi All,
Can someone tell me if it is possible to attach 2 batteries together so they both receive a trickle charge?
I have a Trojan deep cycle and an Exide Extreme which I'd like to keep on trickle charge at the same time.
I know how to connect them but was wondering if it will do any harm to the batteries?

Connect up parallel....ie pos to pos- neg to neg

I have 4 batteries hooked up to my charger at the moment
