looking for a second fridge already have a 40ltr engel need something for bait and fish. I noticed engel are advertising a new 38ltr has anyone seen or used one of these yet?

Hi Mate,

Get an old (beige) 3 way Chescold, cause they'll freeze on gas/240 and you can pick them up for less than $200

I doubt you'd be able to pick up a working Engel for that money, so the 3 way seems a cheap option.

A mate of mine just yesterday sold a 47L Evakool Fridge/Freezer with the Danfross compressor/Travel Cover and Mobitronic 240/12V adaptor for $250.

That new Engel "Eclipse" looks pretty good value. $899 RRP, and comes with a polypropylene cabinet and reversible lid. Same compressor and 3 year warranty.

I'm surprised Engel are making a Waeco copy and offering it at a low price compared with their other fridges....

I'm sure it'll take some sales away from Waeco, but won't it also mean everyone will just buy this instead of the usual 40L Engel???

They could just be shooting themselves in the foot
