Well finally paid the money and signed up, so now for a question.
I have family in Darwin and will be visiting when it gets cold.
I have the 2005 Prado fitted with shelves fridge slide etc but I would like to remove them on arrival and be able to use the folding rear seats for the grandkids. Is it feasible to beg borrow or steal a set of Prado rear seats whilst I am there? Don't really want to freight mine up there and back.

Do you have a cargo barrier? If the answer is yes then you legally cannot carry passengers behind it and need to remove it as well.

A strange question to ask a forum, if something is feasible. Only you can decide that.

Where are you going to get the seats from to start with? That's something you need to research. That way you'll find out if it feasible or not.

That is what he wants to know is feasible or not, if someone in Darwin from this forum will lend him their seats whilst he is visiting

Effie,

your missing the point. Something may be feasible to you or I may not be feasible for someone else.

If they want to know where to get seats in Darwin then ask that. Personally I'd had gone to the yellow pages looked up wreckers in Darwin and see if any have a cheap set of seats.

I certainly wouldn't be bothering a forum with such a matter. But then again I tend to do my own problem analysis.

Hi Mal,

if you would come to melbourne , you could certainly have the use of my spare seats which just sit in the garage accumulating dust but i would think that there are other prado owner's in darwin that would let you borrow the seats for the duration of your stay.

good luck
