My origional post was about my GU clutch problem.The mechanic pulled out the box today and both the dual mass flywheel and the clutch are stuffed ! So in goes the exedy and all will be good .thanks for everyones input .

Did you see it? Was the goo leaking from the flywheel?

Had a look at clutch today and the flywheel is stuffed but not leaking oil.The clutch plate had 2 small bits of steel broken off next to the springs !also the bolts that holds the starter motor in the bell housing ,one had snapped off and one gearbox mount needs replacing,but will replace 2.Considering that I only paid 10k for a 98 Patrol 2.8TD with 150,000 and 4 new tyres I am still happy ! Hope to get out and use it soon .
