Sounds like a good price to me. What do you think?
For info only, I have no connection with them other than purchasing a battery from them.

Sounds good to me.... although I would go for the HGL 120a/h for the same price. The RRP of $486- seems pretty high to me; I bought mine 2 years (or was it 3??) ago for $260-.

The HGL is a starting battery, isnt it?

Been doing some research - found this info

The difference between the "HGL" and "DC" range from fullriver is as follows:

600 cycles at 75% Depth of Disharge ("DC" range) versus approx. 350 cycles at 75% Depth of Disharge ("HGL" range)
Extra Heavy Duty Grids
Higher Power Density
Deep Discharge Recovery

Why do you want a Fullriver?

Alot of other batterys that are just as good or better for around the same price.

A lot of members on this site seem to equate"Fullriver" with AGM batteries. So I try to help out whenever I can. I actually purchased the Vision 100ah DC Battery. Bit more expensive but I believe better quality.

As I have said earlier, I've had my Fullriver for about 3 years now and it's been very good. I do tend to look after it pretty well. When I'm driving it gets charged by an Arrid Twin and when I'm parked up here at home, it's always on the 3 stage charger. The only time it ever has to "work" is when I'm camped; and even then I tend to start the truck everyday to go for a drive, so it never gets down much under 12.6 volts.

I always thought the HGL was a hybrid, not a starter battery.

Ianw,
They possibly equate Fullriver with AGM because Fullriver make AGM batteries at 'entry level' price range when compared to the more proven and more often used AGM's with longer service lives.

Did you get XHRL-series battery ?

Can you explain why the Vision brand is "better quality" ??

Hi IanW.
Just payed $361 for 100 amp hour DC full river battery.Hope it lasts as long as the AC delco deep cycle 100 amp hour that it replaces.Only problem with the ac delco was the amount of time it took to get back up to full charge. It was over 10 years old when i replaced it, so has been a very good battery.Tend to to think that batteries getting trickel charge from solar panels last a good deal longer. We live in Bunbury and no one sells agm batteries here except batteries for us and had one on order for three months and got sick of waiting so got mine down from perth.

Hi IanW

Had one on order at batteries all types for three months now and got sick of waiting as my other battery was u/s.The 105 amp ampteck they sell is 330 long which is to long for my battery tray.Fish is either a big tailor around 7 kg or big mulloway around 20 kg.We spend a lot of time on the coast somewhere surf fishing.Hopefully we have seen the worst of the south easterlies.

Regards Graeme.
