i thoroughly recomend "Longreach Caravan Park" in Ibis st Longreach. Plenty of room,Extremely clean facilities . the Owners Put on a FREE morning and afternoon tea a biccies for travellers to meet n greet.we stayed there a week and often saw up to 13 ppl all enjoying the generousity of the owners...Long live good old fashioned hospitality...the Hema Maps caravan was there while we were, guess they never stop updating their maps, You can buy direct from their vehicle...
powerred van sites are $20 per night... Cheers... Rod

and..... to complete your report, what is it that you don't like about the Gunnadoo ? (interested, seeing I've stayed at the G).

gunnadoo is considerably bigger than longreach,it covers near a full city block. the prices are much dearer and there is NO gene4rousity by the owners. once there youre on your own. theres no encouragement to meet n greet...my opinion anyway...Rod
