Hello
We are keen to buy a Camper Trailer for a family of four. We have done lots of internet research as we live 1200 KM North of our capital city and there are no quality camper trailers to look at where we live, so this is where we need some help please. We have narrowed our choices down to a Lifestyle 360 Camper, Trackabout 4x4 Deluxe Tourer or a Camel Discovery.
We will make a trek to
Brisbane to look at all of these in the 'flesh' but would anyone have any advice or experience on any of these trailers, good or bad. It all seems to get a bit confusing once you get into it and we are not sure what really are the major differences to look for eg. round axle or square etc etc. Our budget is under $15000.
Thank you so much to anyone who can share some wisdom.
Cheers
Rin

I own a Trackabout Safari and cannot speak highly enough of it. Just came back from 6 weeks on the road with it and no probs at all. Tows great and is very functional.
Give
John Vezos aka Johny Trackabout a call or visit his factory. You won't be disappointed.
I have nothing to do with this company - just a very very happy owner of one of his trailers....

I can definitely second the Trackabout Safari, which we have had for about 3 1/2 years now. Have taken it to the centre and to various
places over NSW and WA with no real issues to date. Only thing that has happened to ours is the stone guard has broken at the top, more than likely from the kids jumping and climbing on it rather than any other reason.
2 year warranty anywhere in Aus and a great camper. You will definitely get aomething for under 15K depending on the features that you may require. The Safari has more features / $ than just about anything else on the market and I can highly recommend it.
Again no connection with the company just another happy camper :)

I'll make it three. Recently purchased Trackabout Safari after much homework. Only done short trips so far but product is great. Off to centre in July to really give it a workout.
John is great to deal with.
Cheers

Rin,
You can't go past having a look at the customline from Brizzy.
Well in side your budget with every conceivable extra you could get. Have had ours for two years and love it. My boss has had one for 7 years and loves it too.
Just a tip, do not go to big as a lot of
camp sites are getting smaller and need the 2.4m between tents. 9 foot is big enough for our family of three.
Good luck as it is a difficult one with so many on the market.
Regards,
Camwill69

We have a Lifestyle - not 360 but one a couple of years old. Can recommend it. Tough as. Tows
well. Easy to erect and collapse. Heaps of space for gear under the bed (not necessarily a good thing because one then tends to take even more "essential" gear.
There was a very similar thread on here fairly recently. Try a search and you should get more info.

Thank you for your feed back.
How do I do a search for a thread? Do I just go to 'search' and type in 'Lifestyle Camper' under
Forum?
I tried this but a gazzilion pages came up that didn't relate to Lifestyle Camper Trailers. I hope you don't mind me asking but I not the best at searching for 'threads'.
Cheers

Yeah - searching is a bit of a pain. Check out the "help" button. Best to put the name of the CT you're looking for in inverted commas eg "Lifestyle" and then hit search. That gets rid of some but you still get a heap of hits that you don't want.
Check out these posts 54980, 55050, 47493, 47177, 42722. Just enter each in the post search area. Some good info amongst those.
BTW - good luck with the CT choice. Not easy to select one. There's a lot of $s at stake, even when looking at the soft floor models. Never even went near the hard floors due to the cost.
Cheers from the Moose
