Hi, you can buy a Waeco 50 litres for $849 in
Darwin, thought I might use the Engel 40 litres as a freezer.I have a 2 100 amps battery aux, how would they cope. Is the 50 litres fridge better them a 40 I wondered about the price seem a good deal.We
free camp a bit and have a generator.

the batteries will cope as long as yu can charge them up each day and that is the question.
I think the 40 and fifty have the same motor but 50 has a bit more surface area from which to suck outside ambient heat.
I have trouble keeping the aux battery up to speed unless I got mains power or doing long drives each day. The gennie will bring it up in the evening but not everywhere a gennie is acceptable.

Yes but that is for the previous version the "vera" the newest one is called the "verb" it's something to be on the
lookout for. They look very similar but the control setout is different.
When I got mine (verb) which had just been released I got the cheapest online price ($999) then took it into Anaconda and they beat it by 10% ($900)
Regards Andrew.
