hi any one who is interested as you have read i have had a problem with a leaking fuel pump on my gq safari with a 4.2 diesel. This also has the latest D Gas and the denco turbo charger fitted. Friday the fuel pump started to leak big time at the governor cover as i am going away in 7 days big panic with a half tank of fuel i put half litre chemtek in tank.

I have driven 60 kls so far and the leak has stopped to a point where i can go away and take the risk only going to westonia any way a long winded story but it seems that fuel aditives do work in fuel as well automatics which i have success any way fingers crossed.

morry chemicals have a finite life , diesel is in fact a chemical, please as a fuel ihjection apprentice and a trdes men in an earlier time you cannot replace a metal that has worn out with a chemical it is temporary at best and you can only court danger with extended use . injector cleaners only clean , they do not replace worn injector nozzles ! it sounds like all you need is a seal and new bush replaced on the throttle shaft . for peace of mindreplace these components. dont rely on finding another bottle of a chemicle to replace an already damaged seal
