Roof Rack on High Roof Canopy or Vehicle Roof ????

Now what is your preference for the two and why !
My Burke N Wills double swag takes up to much room in the Canopy !

I used to own a Nissan Navara and had a high roof canopy on it. I had a roof rack on it and when required one bar on top of the cab. I found the rack on the canopy worked really
well and because it was not on the roof of the cabin, there is no wind noise. Was very happy with it.
The rack was a proper installed internal cage type from the same company as the canopy (Flexiglass).
