My best mate owns a camping hire business, today he gave me a evakool fridge approx 47 lts 5 years old.
It doesn't work EG: compressor so for $1000 he can have it fixed or for $1200 replaced.
So I asked if I could have it he said yeah sure.
Now I have a very old Engel 20 + years that works perfect, but the outed casing could be better, So could I use the working bits of the engel and put them in the 5 year old evakool.
If not the Engel will still work and the evakool will go bye bye.
just asking.
Cheers Steve.

assuming both friges are around same capacity (50 litres) yes one probably could ..... if it willl fit...but the evacool uses a squat (danfoss) compressor while the engles is tall...i dont think it will physical fit...then that means more mods and more expense.

Thanks No 1
I will have a look, and as my mate said nothing ventured nothing gained.
I also have a 3 way chest cold that works as
well so I might look at that.
It will just be a weekend project.
Cheers Steve.
