Any body have the ARB bull bar with the IPF fog lights?? I dont use them as i live in the bush but would like to use them as a driving light. Has any one modified these lights by either cutting out the globe cover or replacing the bulb with a better quality globe. If so how much better was the outcome?

Would think they spray the light around tooooo much for driving lights as they are not a beam as such like a pencil beam. Best to buy a real set and save the work.

Most people seem to use them as 'driving lights', thankfully the police in our area have started booking them.

I concur, about time the police booked these people with their wanker lights. Heaps of them in Townsville. Most are set up as high beam and the wankers wonder why they get flashed. Police seem to accept the broken law. Too hard I guess.

I can understand them as not needed in city etc but i live on unfenced roads. I would like them to be a bit of a spread light not so much a spot as the 2 on the front do that job well but a bit extra light to the sides in front would be better. At the moment the light does very little for me, but dont want to loose tham as they are $400 worth of light.

VH, I have seen some set up as additional driving lights complete with HID inserts. Problem for the driver was that oncoming drivers always flashed at him so they became a no go.

From what i understand HID are not legal for on road use, but im sure that varies with each state.
Oncomming cars should not flash you though if these lights dip with the high beam and spot lights, so all that is left is the original low beam.
