I have one of these units that we use in the camper. It _Affordable_Storage_Drawers.aspx 4 amps and we have made simple hook brackets that bolt to the back that allows us to hang the TV from the tent roof struts to watch TV in bed or out side in the annex. It is easily removed and locked away inside the camper when we are away. For an aerial we use a $60 marine omni- directional antenna from Whitworths. This has a 12v booster and really works well even in marginal areas. There is no need to point it towards the station to tune it.
The TV also works on 240 volt and for transport we repack it in the original box with foam packing. The TV costs $379 from Aldi stores and will be available again next week from the 17th.We have no connection from Aldi but find their products to be good value for money.

Yep! could not agree more - We have no connection from Aldi but find their products to be good value for money - we to have bought a 'chit load' of electronic products from Aldi, and its all been a very good story.

Matter of fact we purchased two of the new navigators they were selling today for $179 ea.

SWMBO nearly got killed in the rush, however being an Aldi regular for a couple of particular items that they sell, her 'local knowledge' saw her way ahead of the weekly 'thursday blow-ins'. (LOL)

Two indeed, so you got one for your farm car too did you? One for the Kreepny Jeepny. So Local Knowledge extended to finding them under the counter at your favourite shop?

When is the Base Station coming? Will it be ready for the OBC?

I have purposefully ignored you of late, however it is evident that your wife should 'kill you' for the waffling in the Romance Language - Latin.

And No! I do not have the Base station as yet, and have not enquired as to its delivery date.

It is like a pregnancy - it will happen when it happens.

Hi Barry
They are a flatscreen TV , very light and thin.
Whitworths are a discount marine supply business very big on Mail order. They have a catalogue which they will post to you on request. The aerial is cat.no.91458.

And this is a nice advertorial for a non Australian owned business..

Now can you tell us what the point of this 'Reply" is ??

Surely you are not promoting an overseas owned company ahead of our Aussie operators ?

3 words for you sir.

Education - must have so you can understand the next two

Democracy - freedom of choice

Competition - free to choose the best quality at the cheapest price.

All your Australian owned businesses in our democratic society are free to compete price wise with their competitors. Its called a level playing field by our government and means no artificial protection barriers in place to give artificial $ advantages to theiving rip off merchants.

There you go - simple isn't it

Oooops forgot.

Yes! this is a fantastic 'nice advertorial for a non Australian owned business' and whats more I will continue to promote Aldi when and where they warrant it. Thats the Democracy thing.

Yes! - 'Now can you tell us what the point of this 'Reply" is ' - its the education thing of knowledge is power.

'Surely you are not promoting an overseas owned company ahead of our Aussie operators ' Oh my wordy lordy yes! indeed Idood, Iday (Pixie Anne Wheatley). As you may have guessed , its the Competition thing. All those wonderful Australian owned businesses may undercut Aldi if they wish, and if its the same product with equal or better quality and back up service then I'll buy it from them.

Capice?
