Has anyone fitted an aftermarket turbo/intercooler kit to a 2005 105 series Landruiser wagon ?

If so how has it performed and what other things need to be considered ?

Is there a substantial difference in power between the after market turbo compared with the direct injection factory turbo model ?

I use the vehicle for towing/touring and city driving so fuel consumption is an issue.

cheers

Kev

They perform reasonably well producing around 108 Kw @ 325Nm with a reliable state of tune. The factory 1HDT's we see making around 120Kw and 360Nm on average.

As for fuel consumption ,the feedback i have had is fuel economy is the same ,just got more power to do what you need.

I have had fitted a Turbotec setup recently to a 105 5 speed manual. 40% increase in both power and torque. Insist of a pyrometer to keep a check on the temprature for flat to the floor hills. Fit a mandrel bent free flowing exaust.Ecomomy has improved about 1lt less per 100klm but I'm driving it harder and using more of the power pulling a offroad trailer. Runs much smoother. Check out the Turbotec web site. They are on Great Eastern Highway not far past the airport turnoff. Radiator temp has not changed. So far very happy. Cost all up just over $4,000.
