Hi Zacc,

My missus' stepfather had a VS Commodore which done that... Turned out to be a faulty sensor.

Hope this helps.

Cheers, Brad

na not been in any water, just had my head under the bonnet having a look see and when the ingnition is turned on the accumilator does it thing then there is like a screech coming from the master cylinder itself , like one of the valves might be stuck or something . i have not changed the fluid as yet and the car has done 110 00o klm , i was just thinking that might have something to do with it lioke a bit of condensation or some thing.

Simple answer is, if the light comes on then your ABS is not functioning. If the light continues to stay on, then have it checked out. Our light came on last year. We had it checked out. We had to replaced one of our sensors as it packed.

Have a look at the Hazard light fuse.... under the bonnet..

Some weird symptoms appear when this fuse blows, and its pretty common. Happens when you have a trailer attached and lock/unlock the car, causing the hazard lights to flash, overloading the circuit ('cause of the extra lights on the trailer) and blows the fuse.

If this is the problem, simply replace the 10 amp fuse with a 15 amp one.

Yep,

Happened to me when I left the hazard lights on with the caravan attached.

Maybe ask the question on the Pajero Club Forum

Mine was the same turned out to be the right rear wheel sensor and at $400 I just took the globe out of the dash.....no ABS though.
