Steve from Top End Explorer Tours
We put our early dry season flier out last Tuesday and Anja has done 5 tours already.
I have been getting the Trucks ready for the season, as I have been at Mobil
Jabiru, the boss has allowed me to use the hoist over the weekends, All the trucks are getting a major service, like all the oils, all the wheel bearings, new brake pads all round, new 265/75/16 D693 A/T duellers all round new protecting carpet inside, and a thorough check over.
Some of the boys have been helping out as I had to weld a crack in one diff and replace a front diff housing in another.
We haven't had rain for a week and it doesn't look like we will get any more soon, and the mornings have been cool.
Bring it on.
Cheers Steve.

Yes in full prep here as
well. Morning quite cool for Townsville, and possibly the driest March on record at my place with just 3mm of rain

Good on you guys, all the preparations needed for a good tour.
And some people complain about the cost of a tour.
If they only had their own vehicle and run it as many K's, they would soon know how much time and money goes into the preparation so they don't have to sit on the side of the track waiting for spares or a backup vehicle.

I have fitted a GME 3220, and a external aerial plus a LG TU 500 phone in each truck as well.
Cheers Steve.
