V8 Troopie,
It's your perogitive if you wish to get bent out shape about a sticker. I do get annoyed by some stickers - sometimes. "Baby on Board" stickers/signs are one of my minor annoyances. Lets face it, the window soxs, dangling toys and other accessories already give the game away (we have 19 month old by the way, and not a
sign to be seen). I have had a ExplorOz sticker displayed on my camper trailer since early 2001. Though I took my time, I am now a member of EO.
Are YOU a member of ExplorOz??????????????
Now, in my profession (as a few of the astute have/will already picked up on, as I get time to post), I deal with people who share a common goal - that is the ADF. Not unlike many of the members in this
forum. The common denominator of most on this site is we all share the passion of the great outdoors - in whatever form it takes.
If you cant beat 'em - join 'em. Get yourself a sticker.
Matt

"Are YOU a member of ExplorOz??????????????"
...SHHHH, no he's not.
I guess he just doesn't get it.
Its great to have a bunch of like-minded people to chat to and hopefully bump into out there.
That's why we say "Hey, I saw your TRUCK today at xxx, pity I didn't get to meet ya this time" or maybe "I'm here for a few days wanna meet up?"

The "Baby on Board" signs are not for your benefit, they were designed in case of an accident to let emergency personel and other informed people who come across an accident that there may be a baby in the vehicle, seems obvious doesn't it. As for the original question, the EO sticker spotting game, I have met some very nice people on our travels, a good ice breaker.

Steve T,
Not trying to start any arguments mate. it's just an analogy. That said, one my troops happens to be a Ambo/paramedic based just north of
Adelaide, and unfortunately gets far too many call outs.
To loosely quote him on his opinion of these signs: "We dont even bother with those signs, no
sign doesnt necessarily mean 'no baby', just as a
sign doesnt necessarirly mean 'a baby on board'. Cant take the risk - we
check everything and everyone ASAP".
I'll take his word on it.
Cheers, Matt

Call me Mr have-a-chat but I've met some good people from having EO stickers on my car or I have spotted EO sticker in the car park and gone over and had a chat.....
But then again.....
Call me a snob but I've seen one or two EO stickers on vehicles and seen the driver and wouldn't give them the time of day. I'm sure everyone is put off by some things when they don't like the look of someone.
I'm sure some wouldn't stop to talk to me, that's cool, I don't mind.

Also don't forget that the person driving the car [TRUCK] may have bought that truck with the sticker already on the truck, and therefore have no idea what you are on about, have found ourselves in that situation.
