The government has confirmed that Telstra can close down the CDMA network on April 28th.
If you want to have mobile coverage in remote areas, the NextG Network will be your only option.
Hnadset replacement program will continue until 1 July.

Not sure how other areas are fairing but the NextG reception in North East Victoria & the
Vic High Country is fine particually if one chose the right handset. Since October last year there has been a noticeable improvement, so much so I'd say overall the coverage is better. Even gave the internet a go via the mobile out near Lovicks hut, broadband speed brilliant.
Chers Craig.......

Gramps Hi.
I don't know why you post this "Women are like elephants. I like to look at them, but I wouldn't want to own one."
I would think no one own's a women, not in this day and age... :-)

Richard,
You're obviously bored. It's been there for quite a while now. If it upsets the politically correct, I'm happy.

I'm using the Telstra country phone, ZTE F165. Work provides these & the Nokia 6120 of which the ZTE is slightly better on reception (1 bar better in marginal areas with antenae up) & so far has proved tougher, several Nokia's being returned for various failures.
Cheers Craig...........
