Few people know this, but I am the Honorary Australian Director for DOM.
I have been consulted over many years to ensure the future of the brand in this fine country. My reward has been nothing other than the odd complimentary bottle which is a fine reward as it is a Liqueur to be savoured in small quantities on special occassions.
Our research shows very few, possibly no, existing examples of the product at such an age within Australia. DOM is a very delicate liqueur and was never designed to withstand the vagaries of the Australian climate over such an extended period.
I implore you to forward the bottle to me in the interest of further enhancing this fine beverage in our wonderful country.
Naturally, suitable freight costs will be born by me on behalf of the Monks who developed this unique blend of Brandy and Herbs many hundreds of years ago.
Kind Regards,
J.K. Best Esq.

As I dont drink much I dont know if they will be any good or not.
In the quest for an intellectual reply I suggest you post a question on a
forum about wines or spirits of the liquid kind.
Or go to a wine bar and ask the bartender, a good one will know tha answer.
Sometimes if not stored properly the corks can dry out and shrink and ruin the contents. Try them by all means but buy some newer stuff as a backup and for not so family"friends"
God luck and many headaches LOL

Steve,
I find it quite shameful of the Exploroz members who are trying
to deprive you of your bottles of plonk.
I will therefore arrive early at Innaminka and bring with me
two crystal glasses so we might test the suitability of the
aforesaid bottles, prior to the ' mob ' arriving.
45 years is a reasonable time to wait I think.
Should the beverage be 'adequate' I am quite prepared to
provide suitable munchies to go with the booze, err fine wine.
Yours most sincerely
Michael
