I am thinking of travelling from Darwin to Roper River/Limmen Bight/ cape Crawford and then back to Darwin. Has anyone travelled this route with a dog and if so can you give me some tips about places to camp etc.

There is a good campsite on the Hodgson River just past Queensland Crossing Bridge. You turn right and after the bridge and drive about 5km to Rocky Bar Crossing. You can also camp along the Roper and at Lomarium Lagoon. Once in Limmen National Park you may not be allowed to camp with a dog. Give Parks and Wildlife(Conservation Commission?) a call yo find out more..

Hows things Willem?

That Termite Mound is dieing now as to many tourists have pocked a hole in it to see the termites.

As for camping out that way Nadia, just don't let your dog become Croc food.

Cheers Steve.

... but that's why we take a dog, I tell my wife that her Jack Russell needs a wash :o)) and throw her in (joking)
but seriously just beware, we take our Jack Russell everywhere
and would you believe she never barks in Caravan Parks so far
It is only when you see mosquito land on your testicles that you find another way to solve problems without violence
