If anyone has driven Monument Track in the past week or so, what was the condition like?

Thanks in advance.

Chris,

I was there last Tuesday, so I just make it in to your criteria.

The track is steep in places, mostly clay, sharp turns but since the grader has gone over the track all the deep holes and ruts have gone.

I still use low range to go down the track and is now just a bit of fun.

Hi Wayne

Presume You are refferring to Momunet track as that south of track that joins Craigs Hut via main track and goes south to ciucuit road.

Was there late last year and its been a great little test track because of the rocks and rock Ledges, that catch many cars out.

If its been graded into clay mostly then thats a shame.

The big holes that we've seen last year on Monument Track have been ironed out so is doable by most standard 4x4's with decent tyres & a bit of clearance. With some rain forecast for this weekend it will no doubt chop up to be the challenge it has been in the past :-)

Lets set it straight, NO.....you couldn't possibly drive a Commodore up Monument track at the moment! (Just in-case someone was taking you literally ;-)

Bonz I reckon one could get a rental Commodore down there with the appropiate attitude ;-)

Big tyres, T/D engine & lifted suspension, of course you'll get up easy Keith but not everyone has something as capable & with heavy rain forecast for the weekend it may even be challenging for some.
Cheers Craig..........
