Has anyone travelled the Tanami with a caravan and what thoughts do you have on that?

BD,
It would depend on the type of caravan, type of tow vehicle, fuel capacity, when you wish to do it, the prevailing road and weather conditions, current grading of the road, as
well as your experience in towing in remote areas and your ability to fix things should they break.
Would I take a 'road' based caravan across....Nope. Would I take my campertrailer across....any day of the week, but it is an 'offroad' trailer with excellent
suspension and properly set up to do this type of travelling.
Does that help a little?
Cheers,
Mark
