Hi,
From the EPA website for
lawn hill it appears you can't
camp there with a camper trailer. That is camper trailers over 4m, I'd guess they mean open and total length including draw bar. Wouldn't be many that short. Does this mean you can only
camp at Adel's Grove??
We're going last week in May or first week in June. Is this to cold to enjoy a paddle and swim??
Thanks

Hi There,
Not sure (& not happy) about the CT restrictions). May/June is still quite pleasant for
Lawn Hill, we were there around that time a couple of years ago.
Enjoy your trip.
Cheers
Jason

Adel's Grove is a much more pleasant place to
camp anyway IMHO.
Have a great trip.

Totally agree.
Adel's Grove is by far the better spot to
camp.(especially in the area where the botanical gardens were).Great amenities with lots of trees.
Regards.

It would be OK for most 'over the side' CTs, unfortunately to compensate for lack of storage, most of the 'over the back' CTs are configured more like a boat trailer with a camper on top, some of them have a ridiculously long draw bar to accommodate storage.

Have swum at Adels Grove in July - water was cool but the day was hot. The water in
the gorge is warm - comes out of the ground that way.
Cheers,
Val

June should be very pleasant up there. Adels is by far the best camping - hot showers, can have a fire etc (byo wood). You can hire canoes to paddle through
the gorge at the national Park. Can also hire canoe to paddle on
Lawn Hill Creek from Adels itself - this is a very nice paddle, as
well. You can swim at both the Nat Park and at Adels - they have a swim area in the main creek that is deep and huge. Also a shallow swim area in a backwater, suitable for kids. There are some excellent walks at the Nat Park.
