Trying to decide between these two for a one night stop. Has anyone stayed in either lately?
Any info gratefully appreciated.
Thanks.

I will say definately stay at
Hebel, IMHO
Goodooga is only for daylight hours and passing through.
Hebel has some nice
camp sites on the river and the feed at the pub is second to none.
Cheers Kev

Haven't been to either for a while, but I would be reluctant to
camp anywhere near a town where they felt the need to lock their ambulance up in a steel cage. That is my enduring recollection of
Goodooga. On the other hand recollections of
Hebel are very good. Nice pub, nice people, very friendly.

Tessa,
I still remember playing footy at
Goodooga as a kid and having to walk the field before we played to pick up all the broken glass in the bulldust.
Cheers Kev
