Just wanted to share our piece of joy with you today announcing the birth of our first grand child. Mother, father & baby are just fine but SWMBO and I are emotionally drained. What a big day in our lives but more importantly, in the life of our beautiful daughter, she was in low gear4wd, had the lockers on and came through with flying colours.
I need a holiday now, think I'll pack the GU and head for the NW and GRR to see some more of natures wonders.Carpe Diem

Congratulations, what an experience you will l never forget , being a grandparent. We enjoy every moment we have with our grandbabies, although one of them lives 5 hours away, we spend a lot of time on the phone to him, trying to understand him talking in his lingo, he was 2 yesterday. We now have 2 and another on the way due late January, blessing the parents with 2 thirteen months apart and they are thrilled, and we are more than thrilled. We hope to take them travelling in years to come with us, something that Poppa and Nanny dreamed of years ago, family togetherness. By the way what is your title going to be? Jen

Great news.. I to have a grand daughter who is now 3yo. My daughter ran away from home at 16yo and came back at 17 with a bundle. We thought " this is great", But now 3 years down the track she is the best thing that has happened to our lives. She keeps us young and there is always laughter in the house.. Enjoy

Hi Geoff and Jen,

I am walking short distances without a walking frame. It will take a while to get back to normal. Still have to have the other knee done as well but that is 12 months away. Might have to upgrade to an Automatic 4x4 to facilitate easier driving. Thanks for the interest.Cheers, Willem
