At the end of August 2008 we will be travelling TheKidman Way and Matilda Highway to Longreach. We are looking for camping suggestions and places to see and do. We will be in 4wd and towing a campertrailer.
Thanks Julie

Julie,

For camping alternatives - have a look at www.outbackbeds.com.au - this site has a lot of station stays and outback accommodation places which may be of interest to you - something different to a caravan park anyway. From memory (I checked out that site while planning our 2007 trip - but we didn't end up going that way), there are a few along your route.

Hi Julie.
Contact Tourism Queensland(18002478966).They produce a booklet "Queensland's Outback 2008 Travellers' Guide".
. It is quite a good informative publication.

Enjoy your trip.
Regards.

goodday julie
1 place that remains in our memory is NARDOO station just north of cunnamulla some of the 1 weekers had a crossdressing party what a hoot we also took our morning coffee down to the tank hot artesian spas and watched the sun come up lovely you are allowed to take a trailer out on the station and collect wood for a communal fire (their truck and trailer)
