I'm currently researching the replacement of my 95 series Prado TD main tank with a larger aftermarket number. So far the only two available are the Brown Davis (170L) and the 4WD Systems (155L).
It is now down to a price difference of around $300 between the two.
Given one only gives me an extra 15L it isn't worth the extra just for that. I would pa te extra if the are a much more superior product.
So I'm wondering if anyone out there has fitted one of these aftermarket tanks and would be willing to provide
feedback, good or bad, on that product.
Please do not give advice on the Long
Ranger as the aren't available for my model Prado.

Had a friend who fitted the 4wd Systems 155l tank to a 3.4 petrol prado. It cracked and leaked once, but AFAIK was OK after it was repaired. He also replaced the subtank with a slightly larger tank as
well.

Hi,
I'd be grateful for your
feedback if you choose Brown Davis as I have just placed an order with them for a replacement main tank for my LC100 as I could not find anyone else who made this tank. I just hope that their product is far better than their customer service, or lack of.
Regards
CraigB

What was the capacity of their replacement main?
Are you live axle or independent... I'd be interested to hear how you go.

165 lts - LC100 IFS V8.
They appear to have several tanks for most models of Landcruiser.
