Hi
I was just plotting my up-coming CSR route and when I put Eucla in the Google Earth search engine and zoomed in to about 3km I noticed an interesting 'sign' on the ground. Obviously man made (no alien intervention here :-))
I am interested in any story that anyone may know about it's creation/purpose etc etc
The google earth lat/long is:
31 42'24.97" S 128 52'38.37" E

I also notice a small question mark "?" just to the east of the 'pointer'

You are right - it's marked as an
airstrip on Natmaps.

was kinda hoping it was something more exciting than 'just' an
airstrip - maybe another
Marree Man :-))) - which I note has almost disappeared now :-(

Yep.
Was down that way last Christmas. Pretty busy runway while we were there too.
