Diamond, I could be coaxed into that, and could possibly gather 3-4 others.
Depending on conditions, the road up there is a challange, once there, theres not much 'tracks' but plenty of area to drive round in, also a proper hut to have lunch in and out of the snow, with fireplace etc, we just ahve to take some wood.
Other option if theres snow around, is Noogee. Less driving.
meeting place could be
Mansfield around 10-11am?

G'day,
Hayley and I will be in it for sure :)
The Maverick is going in tomorrow for some head work and a
suspension lift - so all going
well it'll be
well and truly ready for the weekend and we'd love to
test it out.
Cheers,
Luke.

What sort of standard do you think the trip will be? Could be interested if it is deemed to be suitable for a standard vehicle with OE tyres.

We were there yesterday. Just a patch of snow right at the top around the Mt Skene
lookout. Didn't stray off the Jamieson-Heyfield Rd though. I take it that you would be heading off up the Bradley Track as I didn't see any huts around. We set up a tarp and had lunch at the picnic spot at the
lookout. Big day though - travelled 520kms from
Melbourne eastern suburbs.

Yeah - we went through
Lilydale, but then took the Eildon to Jamieson Rd instead of going around to
Mansfield. One of the ladies in the group didn't like that section and pewked all over the place.
Going
home we went straight through to
Licola along the Jamieson - Heyfield Rd. There were signs that the road was closed because of snow but it was not a problem for 4wd's. We even saw a Toyota Celica there! (I think it may have been an all drive model though).

standard of trip all depends on the weather conditions. Lets say not hard, depending on what you do.
If you just want to play in snow, then up the Heyfield road,... last time we went up, 4 cars (2x80's and 2x GU) turned around and went
home, as it was deep, they reversed 1klm down the track!! Wimps.
last time Lukes Mav (original shocks nd springs!!!! so its lowered) was draggin the Gas Tank along the ground, the snow wasnt even that deep. Left a neat imprint on the snow....
Could be easy as bleep , but if the snow is deep, then ..... Not planning on anythign crazy, basically for me, just taking Cammo(3yr old son) to play in the snow, and have a play.
Gettin to the hut, could also be interesting! The track to there is Rutted, but if lead car plows the sides a little, makes it not so deep.

Hehe....all you could see in the middle of the track behind me last time
---------------------------------------
---------------------------------------
...from the two bolts holding on my gas tank bash plate dragging in the snow :-)
Like Truckster said - original 230,000km old springs and shocks, so not much clearance and it wasn't that bad...
But this weekend should be better - 2" lift currently going in new enforcer springs and shock all round - so should give a bit more clearance :-)
...just using 31x10.5's BTW...

The road is open/closed depending on conditions. If the road is open and partly clear then I see no problems.
Not Feiglins Hut.
This one is not on any maps.
