Howdy there
young Kev, Glad to see you come out of the woodwork.
This
Forum was informative, respectful & meaningful during your absence over the week end.
I was worried (hoped) that maybe a cane toad had swallowed you & you had become just a bit of fertiliser on the ground.
But, ah no, luck was not on my side, I ve gleaned you have been collecting firewood instead & that you now back to your usual form!!
Anyway good on you, I will not be able to make it to Innaminka, but I'm sure that all attending will appreciate yours & others Efforts to make it a great time. Cheers.

That Nissan reminds me of a story a friend told me years ago. He was part of the occupation forces in Japan after the war and he said a Studebaker 6x6 truck drove into their
camp one day with 95 Japanese troops on the back of it!

Wow!! what a load. Is that how these people carry water to remote camping spots!!
Wonder what the local coppers would say to you when they pulled you over if you had that lot as a load. You should have saved it for Friday Funnies. LOL & cheers.

Hey Walkabout,
That is a very interesting picture. My wife and I recently did a camel trek with Rex Ellis of the Bush Safari Co. He is is an avid Peugeot fan and also owns about 10 camels. I would love to have a good quality copy (or a link) if possible to send to him!

G'day Kingo,
Just read Rex's book "Boats in the desert" (Twice)!!!
Not much of a camel fan myself, but his raft trips and boat trips are brilliant. The photo that I posted was sent to me by a mate...so dont really have a "link" Not knowing much about computers/internet etc. would it help if I sent a copy direct to you? Or him?
Cheers

Walkabout,
I will send you a Member Message re contact.
Rex is certainly a great character of the outback. It was a privilege to be invited to his latest booklaunch a few weeks ago. We all went to a private property on the Murray and got involved. In typical Rex fashion, it was all very casual. Infact he had no copies of the new book available because of a problem at the printer. The new one is called "Go with the Flow" and is also about water events.
