Could anyone tell me how I get to this place. I believe its up around the

Lithgow. Can you get to this place in a normal vehicle or is it 4wd only ??? Regards Steve M

Stephen
You can come down the road as if going to
Newnes and there is a turn-off to the right and should be sign-posted. I think the track is actually called the same.
The
cave is close by, although more of a
rock overhang and is easily accessed by 2wd.

Yeah and the hands have faded a hell of a lot in the last 10 years makes me wonder who actually put them there.

Stephen,
To answer the other part of the question, unless it has deteriorated a lot very recently, if you come in from the
Newnes Road you should be able to get by with 2WD. It might be a bit potholed, but with care it should be OK. It just beyond the turn off to the
cave that you enter 4WD territory.

HI do you have a gps --- i have waypoint on oziexplorer starting from
Lithgow near Mcdonalds - to go in the road way
of you can come in via Bells line of road - zigzag for the dirt entry - but the last bit may be no good for standard cars
let me know if you need it

No probs
But basic directions --- Use the Great western HWY all the way into
lithgow - at main intersection at
lithgow turn left ( aT Mcdonalds ) follow for a Long while till you find the Mudge exit ( long exit that turns into a flyover
Follow for about 5 min past the large Power station - then a few Km on your right is a petrol station this is Wolgan road - turn right there and just follow -- this will bring you in the back way rather than 30 km of dirt - if you pass a "pritec hose doctor"
shop on your left -- your on the right path
