Hi

Looking to get away up on the murray over the next long weekend.
I really like having a camp fire and one of the main parks in Echuca said that the parks there dont have camp fires. So basically looking for a nice park for a powered site with a camp fire. Would prefer one thats not in the middle of Echuca, has anyone tried the Barmah park? Looks nice and peaceful. Dont really want to go much past Echuca though.Echuca and Moama are a little too busy these days so looking for the murray river but not hussle bussle but not camping with no power either. Any recent experiences or suggestions much appreciated.
Thanks guys
regards
Justin

My home town and Picnic point is a beaut spot.

Make sure you check out the red gum forests in the area.

Caught a Cod and two nice yellow bellies last time I was there.

Hi Justin,

There's a place we go to called Wakiti Creek Resort about 25ks out of Echuca on The Murray Valley H/w. Bush setting, power, water, dogs & horses allowed and best of all you can have your own fire.
www.wakiticreekresort.com.au hope this helps you.

Justin I have to agree with Mike, I have stayed at Wakiti creek resort many times. It is a great place and the owners Phil and Jayne are fantastic.

A few years back we stayed at the Morning Glory park. 32km east from Echuca on the NSW side of the Murray. It's on old dairy farm that is now cabins & camping. They allowed fires in the supplied washing machine tubs. Ring them to check if it's still ok.
