G'day,
really looking forward to this. Anyone who has read "
Home of the Blizzard" or other documentation of Sir Douglas Mawson's extraordinary trek to the South Pole in 1912, in fact, anyone who is keen on exploration, should not miss this.
Australian adventurer Tim Jarvis actually, to an extent, re-created the trek in 1999, using 1912 style provisions. He did not go so far as to eat the dogs however. An amazing story retold in modern history. Balls of steel.
