Searched the
forum and the Internet for the past coupla three hours without success - hoping that you guys can help me out.
I am looking for a Fridge and Freezer combo to replace the 40ltr Waeco I currently have in my truck. Will put this machine in my campertrailer eventually. The problem I have is the size of the hole in my storage unit. The space I have is 720L x 380W x 530H - can cope with longer handles providing they are 200mm or more from the bottom of the fridge - so they can clear my 50ltr SS
water tank.
The Engel 60ltr combi or the WAECO 80ltr would be ideal if they were a bit shorter and narrower. It seems from their respective websites that they don't make Fridge and Freezer combinations any smaller that this.
My question then - does anyone know of ANY manufacturer who makes 12volt fridge and freezers that will fit the space that I have available.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers
Pete

I agree with Warfer the evakool is a great unit, I have the 68 lt one, just one thing if you are putting it into a camper trailer I would try a spring base or similar.
Cheers Steve.

Thanks Guy - that looks like a winner. Intend putting the old Waeco in the camper and the new (now I can say that one will fit) Evakool in the truck. Thanks again.
Cheers

Hi Pete
If handles are a problem in a confined space, you can do what we have done. The hard handles have been removed, and replaced with battery handles (heavy cord and a rubber hand piece. The fridge can then sit in neatly.

Good idea that but my main problem is the footprint. Can easily fit an Engel 40 or Waeco 50 but I'm specifically looking for a Fridge and Freezer combo. Thanks

We also have an Evacool 60 and have had no problems with it, sits in the car all the time now, i have made a custom fridge slide with an extension table on the end which works well , some pics on my rig page.
