I there

Heres the dilemma
My 2000 GU patrol drivers door is locked shut.
All other doors will unlock except the drivers door.
By removing the seat I have managed to remove the door trim to be able to get my hand to the locking mechanism. However I cant seem to move anything. The door latch mechanism seems to be working fine but obviously the actuator for the central locking is stuffed. Other than taking it to work and popping it open with the jaws of life I cant seem to work it out. Any ideas appreciated
Evan

Gday,
Put your GPS on the drivers seat, Lock your car and leave it parked at the local supermarket.
Some little Ba$tarrd will have it open in 30 seconds flat.

LOL
Cheers

If you turn the ignition key to the on position does this make a defference (can you manually releace lock)

Thanks for the help

I have now solved the problem by cutting the actuator(which was already broken ) from the mechanism . I am now able to open the door and lock it manually
Cheers

Your not the first person to reach for the hydraulic rescue gear to fix the car.

The hydraulic spreader was the perfest tool fit new springs on my mates 80 series a couple of years back.

LOL
