Leaving my caravan

Hi all,
I am thinking of attending the members gathering at
Innamincka and I have a question about leaving my caravan.
I am looking at travelling up via
Bourke and finding some ware to leave my caravan and then travel to
Innamincka with my camping gear to attend the gathering.
What would be the best and safest place to drop my van for a few days, as after the gathering we intend to continue travelling.

G/day matt,why not take the van with you,we did,went
cameron corner to the strzeleki then up to
innamincka. we don`t have an off-roader,just a small pop top,didn`t have any probs,just drive to the conditions and air down the tyres,some parts of the track are bad, 25kph sometimes.We kept going,
Birdsville,
Bedourie Boulia.I am writing this from the Alice.Never broke a thing on the van at all.

We're towing our old Viscount (
check rig photo) in to
Innamincka for the gathering and don't expect any trouble. Might be a little more comfortable in the van on the cold nights out there, I would think.

Hi CC, I did not, but it has had an eye to eye left springs (look like LCs) with shocks, the chassis has been strengthen and the axle is two inch solid round and has electric brakes and 15 inch rims.
And inside the single beds changed to a east/west double and she is still under 1200kg ATM.
