Hi Guys
I am interested in taking my GQ out for a bit of adventure with the girlfriend on Sunday in / around Melb.
If anyone is going on a easy/moderate drive I would love to tag along. As far as mods go my GQ SWB has a winch and a set of wide wheels, so anything which involves very deep water will be out !
I am still getting my feet wet with 4WDing so am not very experienced...but keen to learn ! Not scared of getting muddy though !

Come into mansfield, nearly out the other end of the main street, Servo on right side of road, opposite the servo on main street, theres a cafe, coffee, and shiat b4 leaving. Nice and warm.

Parole still not totally granted, she gets 4 wisdom teeth out tomorrow, so depending how she is.. Or just leave her at home, and go!

yea know where you is,

Um.. Dont really know any 4b shops around there, only really know Dandenong and this way..

Any 4wd shop around you would have the gear. Ask for 2 RATED shackles, and 8000lb snatch strap at least.
bring shovel, and coffee and lunch etc.

Dont scrimp to save $2, get quality bleep first time. Its well worth the effort. Could be your life you save, or more importantly mine ... :)

Cheers, they seem like good value. Any luck with finding the front passenger side mud flap in your parents shed ?? I will need to buy one before Sun, and my chances of finding a used one are not looking good :o(

Ok, the mudflap, No go.

but ive been driving without right rear for 3 mths now! So dont panic, nothing will break, or get ya in poo.

With the snatch strap, you should get the real thing, if the wire breaks, it would be a nasty missile, but if you dont have one, there should be someone there with one that you could use.

Im not sure if Im going

a cable is fine for towing a short distance maybe but a snatch strap is needed for extraction as it uses a bungee effect to jolt the car from the bog .
trust me i know from experience .
too much stress on a cable where it joins on itself.
see ya sunday
