Evening all,
just thought i would
check to see how the super cheap fridges from about 3.5 years ago are travelling,
mine is about to embark on a 6 week trip up the cape and she's running
well.has been here, there and everywhere and no problems.undoubtedly the best buy i have made.----
well maybe. also did you do the larger fan/50 degree thermostat modification? cheers Paul

Bloody bargain is all I can say. Used it for 6 months non stop in and out of the car and has not missed a beat.
What's the mod about?
Only problem I have is the static it creates from the compressor motor. Didn't notice it till I changed the radio in the Patrol (cheap Hong Kong junk in there now) but nothing a hand full of suppressors will not fix.

Kfer,
install a 125mm brushless fan (cut off and junk the original one) put a 50 degree thermostat on the compressor with a cable tie and wire up off the on/off switch, it will cycle less being more efficient with the heat dissapation.thus not using as much
battery power.did that to
mine years ago and it works a treat. cheers Paul

The Good Guys here in WA had them some time ago selling for either $599 or $699. Only difference was the colour.
