G'day, I had a Dtronic fitted to my 3lt 2005 Navara yetserday and I must say I'm not overly impressed with the extra power it is meant to give. Am I asking too much, I can hardly feel any better get up and go. The bloke at ARB said when towing and when going up hills I will notice the difference. Has anyone else had the dtronic fitted to their Navara?

Thanks

Chris

Yep agree with Matthew
I have a dp chip in mine 2002 and it goes like a rocket, if you have had the exhaust done you need to let them know as the will adjust the chip to suit (ie programing) on 5 mine comes in at about 1200rpm or lower, at 60kmh in 4th gear the turbo is singing.
Best money I have spent just wish I had done it sooner.

A Dtronic is only adjustable with a laptop or at least mine is and its a new one. A DP Chip has a dial on it

Have 3 friends all with 3lt Navara's , 2 of them new.

All three have had turbo problems.

The latest a 2005, will be having its turbo replaced next week , it has done 70,000km of which 50,000 has been with Dtronic.

The Dtronic certainly gave noticeable boost , and the suppliers do not think it caused the Turbo bearings to go noisy and it loose boost.

Wouldn't be so sure myself.

I have a stock standard ST-r Navara. The chip is only programmable by laptop but it still should show some significant improvement first off. I don't believe it will affect the turbo because a mate had issues with his turbo and didn't have the dtronic. I haven't had it dyno-ed that might be the next step.
