Footsie, we celebrated in Birdsville on Tuesday night - it was RFDS Clinic Day, the Lady Flying Doctor (she comes every two months for Womens Health) was in and the Flying Allied Health Team (they come every 6 weeks) were here with the dietician, podiatrist and the shrink came in a day early so we could party.
Had a BBQ in the Hall for the community, couple of quizzes and a birthday cake cut by the Flying Doctor.
Some trivia for you - Birdsville was the place they trialled the pedal radio.

Happy Birthday indeed, to a wonderful organisation with many wonderful and dedicated people within it.
A wonderful woman G.P. and very good friend of ours went out to work at the RFDS at Broken Hill about 7 or 8 years ago, and is now firmly entrenched within its wonderful family of professionals. We had the opportunity to visit the Base in 2007, and recommend the RFDS Base tour to anyone passing that way. This is one organisation I am more than happy to give cash donations to, on a regular basis.
P.S. As a young lad of about 7 and 8 yrs old, my sister and I stayed at a boarding school in Alice Springs whilst attending school, a short distance from the Rev. John Flynn (founder of the RFDS) memorial Church, which we were all marched down to every Sunday for prayers. Cannot remember what denomination it was, may have been Presbyterian. Will get back one day to see if it still exists. I am tipping the old boarding school won't be there.
Cheers all, and
HAPPY BIRTHDAY RFDS
Fred.
