Just had a cuppa with John and Heather in town at maccas and had a lovely chat for nearly 2 hrs. What a lovely couple!! Its great that people who you chat to on here can meet up and talk like they've known each other for yrs!!LOL!!

They are now heading to Sydney and catching up with some more EO'ers then who knows....maybe Great Vic Desert or Innamincka - still undecided.

Happy travels guys and thanks for a great morning out!!

Cheapest and cleanest public toilets in many places. I only learned of their coffees in the last month. I buy Subway occasionally F'loosie. Hope to get up to the GC later in the year mate.

I'd have to agree with the clean and free toilets, especially when in Europe.
Maccas coffee up here would kill a brown dog...great for keeping you awake while driving but oh the taste...yuk.
Mind you I could go next door and get a Macafe coffee...but thats a bit flash for me. After all, I only learned what a Late is the other day. :)

You forgot about replacing the vhf radio back into its cradle behind the drivers seat as well.
Return trip was much smoother, I knew where the bad bit were LOL

Hello Laura,

Good to hear you met up with John and Heather for a chat and cuppa. That's one of the great things about EO, getting to meet so many interesting, nice people.

Glad to hear that they're on the road and hope they are enjoying themselves..I'm sure they will be.

Viv

Had a lot of laughs Viv. Was nice to meet up with Laura too, and Jonty, but he didn't talk as much. LOL Pretty remarkable the way we find all sorts of different things where we have pretty narrow separation degrees.

Brekkie time here

Well looks like it was afternoon tea at my place.

Stopped in at Wollongong on the way to southern Sydney.

We compared notes on the Kimberley Karavan. A bit of show and tell.

As stated good to meet some other people and chat about our common interests. Funny how John and I could be twins....LOL!!
He's much taller than I!!

ie meeting other people and sharing life stories.

We first met through eo via email and a common purchase of a KK.

The journey continues..........

Garth

Garth, if you and John could be twins - then that makes you triplets because John & Willem could be bros. What a thought - three of you!!! LOL

Jeepers, Ruthie what a family. LOL Great to meet up yesterday Garth. You better come out to Innamincka and meet the rest of the family and sister Ruthie too, but make sure you have some red ready for her glass as she likes it refilled. Well never half empty.

John & Heather have arrived!!!
Under the cover of darkness John backed the KK down the 200m driveway without hitting a thing. After dinner and a couple of bottles of red, Heather John and I are now in the study, each on our own computer, logged onto ExplorOz. What else would people do when they haven't seen one another for such a long time. Charles get home tomorrow night so a couple more bottles will be consumed but I don't know what we are going to do about the 4th computer.

Good to see they found their way to your place, have you had anymore luck finding a replacement truck??
I am still looking for you ;)

Cheers Kev

kev, the missan is going just fine here, it backs bigger stuff than the KK, I have a photo of it with a 30 foot trailer with 11 hay rolls on it, wouldn't do that with the sahara, you might scratch it!!!

Gee friends nice to see you so welcoming to Southern Blowins like us. We find so many EO types great to mix with and community identities in their own right.

Nice to meet Laura and Jonty earlier yesterday and then to meet Garth as one of the original members of the Kimberly Karavan Owners Group was great, even if very impromptu. Sorry mate for that. It was great to meet you after hearing "the voice" on the phone so many times.

Rob and Charlie we met before crossing the SD in 2004 and had four fun days with them then.

Will meet a few EO people while around here in Sydney area. Mobile number is with the rigpic if you have lost it.
